Our Process
Local Sourcing & Ethical Shearing
We prioritize indigenous Gaddi sheep wool, sourced directly from local shepherds during spring and autumn. This ensures the sheep’s well-being while supporting regional livelihoods. By working within the local ecosystem, we reduce transportation emissions and strengthen the rural economy.

Natural Processing & Minimal Waste
Raw wool is cleaned using organic soapnuts (reetha) and freshwater streams, eliminating the need for harsh chemicals. Wastewater returns safely to the environment, preserving the purity of the Himalayan landscape. Residual wool scraps from the spinning and weaving processes are repurposed for smaller handcrafted items, minimizing material waste.

Handcrafted & Slow Production
Our hand-spinning, knitting, crocheting and weaving techniques use minimal to almost no electricity, reducing our carbon footprint. These traditional methods not only consume fewer resources but also extend the life cycle of the products by emphasizing durability and craftsmanship.

Skill Development & Circular Livelihoods
We invest in comprehensive training programs for spinners, knitters, and weavers. Artisans are integrated into our broader ecosystem post-training, ensuring sustained employment. This closed-loop system nurtures a self-sufficient artisan community, where resources, skills, and opportunities circulate back into the local economy.

Revival of Indigenous Natural Fibers
Our products are crafted from indigenous natural fibers such as Desi Oon, Yak Wool and other locally available materials. By reviving these traditional resources and techniques, we create pieces that are fully biodegradable at the end of their life cycle—allowing them to return to the earth and closing the material loop without harming the environment.

Sustainable Packaging & Responsible Distribution
Each product is finished and packaged using eco-friendly materials, reducing plastic waste. We partner with conscious brands and retailers to ensure that our products reach customers who value sustainability and circular living.
