1. Who makes the products at The Wool Knitters?
Every piece is handcrafted by women artisans from the Himalayan regions of Kullu, Janjehli, Goshal, Lahaul, and Gadagushaini — skilled knitters, crocheters, spinners, and weavers who are part of our artisan collective.
2. Are the products truly handmade?
Yes. From hand-spinning the wool to the final stitch, every product is made using traditional techniques passed down through generations, often with locally sourced yarns.
3. How can an artisan join The Wool Knitters collective?
We’re always open to connecting with makers who share our passion for Himalayan wool crafts. Write to us at communications@thewoolknitters.org
4. Do you offer international shipping?
Not just yet — we currently ship within India only. But we’re working on expanding beyond the mountains soon!
5. What if my order is damaged?
Please write to us within 48 hours of receiving your order, along with clear photographs of the issue. We’ll make it right — whether that means a repair, replacement, or another solution.
6. Why does it take so long to ship my order?
Because our products are made slowly, by hand, and sometimes at 7,000 feet above sea level. If your item isn’t in stock, we make it fresh for you — which can take 2–3 weeks plus delivery time. Add in a few topsy turvy mountain roads, a landslide or maybe a blinding rainfall, and you’ll understand why our packages arrive with a story to tell.
